    Everyone in Belgium is automatically an organ donor (though you can opt out). But doctors still seek approval of the family, so I volunteered anyway, to avoid that delay.

    As someone who was reportedly in a vegetative state (pro-tip: I wasn’t), and was nearly killed by doctors that wanted my organs: do not make yourself organ donors.
