November, 2003. An upcoming job transfer meant that I had to choose between taking vacation now or in 6-8months time. That was an easy decision. I hadnt had any vacation in a while, and needed the break. The question was where? After a day surfing the 'net, I found cheap flights from SFO to Tahiti Island - leaving that weekend. Never been there before, so decision made. Decided to try buying "Moon Handbooks" for this trip, instead of the usual Lonely Planet... it was a more recent edition, and besides, I was curious to see if I liked them more then LP.
