GODDZLA in the Mission

Walked past this Nissan GT-R parked on the side of the street in the Mission district of San Francisco. Spent several minutes walking around it, admiring. The license plate was a nice touch – wonder if the owner is involved with Mozilla? All the jokes about “a monster from Japan” are appropriate for this beast when you realize this 3.8L V6 Twin-turbo produces 485HP!

  1. The Nissan Skyline GT-R has historically been referred to as “Godzilla” by fans, dating back to the R-32 generation. This is because of its string of victories in JTCC and foreign tournaments like the Bathurst 1000 in the early 90s. The car was so crushingly dominant in some cases contest rules were rewritten to prevent it from entering.

  2. This reminds me that the only time I’ve seen you recently was a few weeks ago when following your distinctive license plate along Cesar Chavez…
